POWER FLUSHING

A power flush is a mechanical and chemical procedure that cleans out the boiler, radiators, and pipes in your central heating system of accumulated sludge and debris.

A Power Flush is performed to extend system longevity, boost efficiency, and save heating expenditures and boiler maintenance costs.

Using a large volume, low water pressure equipment, strong chemicals, and force water through your system to push all that gunk out, leaving a clean and healthy heating system once again.

A clean heating system operates more effectively, resulting in lower heating costs for you. It also extends the life of your boiler by getting rid of the sludge in your heating system.

When do I need a power flush?

You need Power Flush in two cases.

1. The first is that there is a build-up of sludge in your heating system. Sludge is a dirty substance made of dirt, dust and debris that corrodes the metal parts of the heating system, such as radiators, pumps and valves, which corrode when water flows through it, causing rust (iron oxide). Over time, it builds up and forms a sludge-like substance that begins to clog your heating system, getting into your boiler, heat pump and valves and reducing the efficiency of your boiler or creating freezing points in your radiator, preventing hot water from flowing. freely . . This means that your home or business does not heat up as it should, and due to reduced efficiency, you also spend more on heating bills.

2. Another reason to have a Power Flush is if you are installing a new boiler or heating system. You may still have sludge in your system like before and want to clean it out before installing new heating systems. However, sometimes this is done as a matter of good practice, so that when a new heating system is installed, it will operate at maximum capacity and guarantee that no sludge will form. Some boiler manufacturer warranties require power flushing during new installation and the warranty will not apply if this was not done when the boiler was first installed.
